To New Ridley from the North /East / West: Follow the A69 and take the A68 southwards towards Darlington. Continue straight over the roundabout with the A695 and continue along the A68 southwards for 3.5 miles to a crossroads. Turn left (signposted New Ridley), then follow ‘To find The Old Byre’ :
To New Ridley from the South: Follow the A68 northwards towards Corbridge. About 1 mile north of the hamlet of Kiln Pit Hill, turn right (signposted New Ridley), then follow ‘To find The Old Byre’:
To find The Old Byre: After 1 ¾ miles go straight over the crossroads (again signposted New Ridley) then after approximately ¾ of a mile you will enter the village. Continue through the village and you will see the Dr. Syntax pub on the right-hand side. About 150m further on the right-hand side there is a gated driveway with a suspended sign board for the Old Byre. Drive up the paved driveway to park in the gravelled area at the top and The Old Byre is the building to your right.
